Celebrity Puppies for sale
We have the infamous Shar Pei puppies for sale. You know the ones that were stolen from our Orlando home on January 6th. Pictures and video of the pups were posted on almost every news station in Central Florida . Thankfully a motorist, aware of the puppy napping, saw puppies being sold from the back of a pick-up truck. She immediately notified the local authorities and informed them of the Orlando story. Tampa Bay Police Department responded to the scene, recovered the pups and returned them to the rightful owner. So now they are ready to find a good homes for our celebrity pups.
I would like to tell how it all happened in hopes it would prevent other breeders from having a similar experience with possibly a completely different out come. We realize now just how fortunate we really were.
It all started on the morning of January 6 nth while I was getting health certificates for a few of the puppies. I received a call from a perspective buyer for one of the pups. I gave him directions to my home and we arranged to meet after 4:00 p.m. that day. Again that afternoon I had to go out for a few minutes to pick up my children from an afternoon program. I received a call from the same perspective buyer at 3:30 p.m. He asked if I could meet him prior to 4:00. I told I would be there within 20 minutes.
When I returned home I noticed the back sliding door was ajar. I immediately noticed one of my female Shar Peis was not there to greet me. I called for her, and heard her cry from the back room in the house. I rushed to her aid and realized she had been locked in her room. Her puppies were gone and she had defecated on the floor as a result of trauma. Fear consumed me as I rushed to the other room where the second litter of puppies we located. They too were gone.
I called my husband, who then called the police an every TV station in the area. A few of the major networks did a feature story on the puppy napping and broadcast pictures and video of the puppies on the 11:00 news and again on their morning shows. We learned there was a similar incident that happened the day before to a Winter Park family that had their Boxer puppies stolen.
The next day a personal friend of the family, that owned the Boxer pups, happened to go to Tampa and noticed some guys selling puppies out of the back of pick-up truck. She called 911 and told Tampa Police Department about the puppies that were stolen in Central Florida . The police responded and confiscated the pups and returned them to their rightful owners. The suspects were not arrested at the time; however, Orlando Police Department is continuing with a follow up. Hopefully it will lead to the arrest and conviction of the puppy nappers.
Ten of the eleven Shar Pei puppies stolen were returned a little frightened but unharmed. One puppy had already been sold. We still hold out hope that this puppy will also be returned to us.
We sincerely appreciate the help of the News Media, both police agencies involved, the insightful lady that made the call to the authorities, and all those that prayed for the safe return of our beautiful Shar Pei Puppies.
We want to encourage every breeder or dog owner to be very cautious when advertising a pup or puppies for sale. When the perspective caller called, the number came up private and therefore untraceable. Make sure you have a valid call back number and name before you give out your address or any other pertinent information. Never tell them how it will be before you return, tell them you will be there in a minute. If they call back again, tell them you’ll be there in a minute. In my case, I told them I would be there in twenty minutes, which told them they had a good ten minutes to steal the pups.
